The artistic design of a total of four façades provides an open studio environment and will turn the market square around the town library into a vibrant gallery landscape, creating a high-quality gallery in the centre of Bergkamen. The artistic interventions will respond directly to the architecture, urban space and atmosphere, and create new perspectives.

From 20 to 25 August 2025, the four façades will be decorated by international artists. The aim is to experience the town centre as a lively, international art space and to heighten citizens' awareness of contemporary art. The vernissage with sound and dance performance will take place on 26 August.
