From 3–10 November, they will transform the 4. Etage and the Water Tanks into an open studio – a place for sound experiments, encounters and shared moments. Giorgi will bring two video programmes featuring works by Georgian artists, accompanied by talks, drinks, music and plenty of space for exchange.

Also participating are the Oberhausen DJ duo finsterniz & sun_ma and Marie Gavois (Stockholm/Düsseldorf) with their new experimental project UNRST.

TUAM2 – The Urban Art Mycelium explores new, resilient models of social connection through artistic practices – inspired by fungal networks. The TUAM2 Residencies connect local scenes with exciting, as yet little-known international scenes in the fields of video art and electronic music.

Anushka Chvarelidze

Anushka is one of Georgia's most exciting young electronic musicians. Her music ranges from experimental beats to organic sound structures and hypnotic rhythms. In her work, she combines electronic performance with intuitive improvisation to create intense, emotional soundscapes. During the TUAM2 residency, she will transform the Water Tanks into a living sound laboratory.

Giorgi Spanderashvili

Giorgi Spanderashvili is a Georgian curator and art manager specialising in contemporary video and media art. He is co-founder of the In-between Conditions platform and is committed to promoting interdisciplinary exchange between art, technology and society. Following numerous projects in Tbilisi, he is now bringing two exceptional collections of contemporary video works by women to Oberhausen.
