The first NEW TALENTS RUHR artistic camp will take place in summer 2024 and will include a two-year mentoring program for young talents in the Ruhr region.

In search of young talents

NEW TALENTS RUHR is a wide-ranging talent development program that is dedicated to new, pop-cultural urban forms of artistic expression and aims to convey a cross-genre understanding of art. The program is intended to support young talents between the ages of 16 and 21 from the Ruhr metropolis on their path to a professional future in the arts. Young people are given the opportunity to get a taste of various artistic disciplines, try out new things and receive professional training. The focus of the program is on the four areas of new arts: urban arts, digital arts and performances, new circus and the electronic music club scene. The application phase for the program is currently ongoing, which will start for the first time in summer 2024 as an artistic camp. Afterwards, the young talents will receive a two-year mentoring program, which will accompany them in their personal talent development and support them in the further development of their individual forms of expression. The application portal for the NEW TALENTS RUHR Camp and the mentoring program has been online since November 5. You can still register for this until January 15, 2024.

The New Talents Ruhr talent days

The second New Talents Ruhr talent day will take place on December 3, 2023. On this full day, all who are interested will have the opportunity to find out more about the program and immerse themselves in the various disciplines through trial workshops. Participation in the talent days is not a precondition for applying for the program but can increase your chances of getting a spot.

What is important is curiosity

One of the aims of New Talents Ruhr is to reach those who have not yet had the chance to practice or develop their talent. Skills and experience in the respective disciplines or other areas of the arts are desirable, but what is more important is curiosity, passion, and a great openness to be inspired by artistic influences.
