From April 1, 2024, you as artists and cultural workers can once again submit applications for projects in 2025.

We are going into the fourth sponsorship round!

There are great news, as the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is once again providing 1.5 million euros for artistic projects in the fields of digital arts, urban arts, new circus and electronic music culture in the Ruhr region for 2025. In the press statement from the Ministry of Culture and Science, the Culture Minister Ina Brandes talks about the dense diversity of cultural offerings that make the Ruhr region unique.

Since 2020, we have been offering artists the opportunity to bring their bold ideas to the stage as part of the New Arts Ruhr sponsorship program and at the same time we want to inspire more and more people for the various disciplines of the new arts. You are invited to apply as an individual, group, initiative or company if you are based in the Ruhr region. Municipal and independent cultural institutions based or cooperating with partners in the Ruhr region are also eligible to apply. If you are just starting out as an artist or cultural worker, you are expressly invited to apply and give your work visibility. You can find closer information in the funding policy.

Applications for projects in 2025 can be submitted online via kultur.web between April 1 and June 14, 2024, with the implementation period starting on January 1, 2025 at the earliest. Projects will be selected by a jury of experts. We will inform you here as soon as possible about this year's consultation offers for the sponsorship.
