With "In C - Marler Partitur", the internationally renowned choreographer Sasha Waltz has developed a choreography that aims to involve large sections of the city's population. Initiated by a group of committed citizens, this is a project that is being brought to life in Marl and with the Marl city community. First performed in Marl in 2022, the continuation of the project will take place on october 21, 2023.

The project "(extra)ordinary" wants to investigate everyday life as well as "(extra)ordinariness" with a dance and movement research. In doing so, it wants to give dance enthusiasts access to hip-hop culture, regardless of age, origin, faith or gender. Participation is open to anyone over the age of 16, no previous dance experience is necessary. The whole thing takes place from 09.10.-14.10.2023 in the Stapeltor Duisburg.

Lilja Kopka and Anna Fentrop are responsible for the New Circus programme at the Ruhrfestspiele 2022.
